It's been such a pleasure this year to work with Jill Dinse, the woman who teaches Sunday School with me. She often has better judgment than I do about dealing with kids this age (first and second graders). My tendency is to lean a little too far towards teaching, and sometimes not to see when the kids are getting restless and losing interest. Yesterday we had an unusually good class because she suggested that we ease up on the talking and just play for a while. I enjoyed it, and I could tell by the end of the class that it was something we should have done weeks ago. Kids get tired this time of year.
It's good to have a partner in just about anything you do, I think.
