Here is a surprisingly good article in defense of the estate tax by Bill Gates' father, William H. Gates Sr., who is a very rich man in his own right. He's done a very good thing by taking this stand in such a prominent way. Whatever happened to men like him? Why is it that rich old white guys in this country seem to have generally become such a bitter and thoughtless group of people?
